new to the site, looking to do a 4.8 to6.0 swap

Default new to the site, looking to do a 4.8 to6.0 swap

I have a 2000 chevy 1500 4x4 with the wimpy 4.8 and I wanna swap a 6.0. what all needs to be done for this to work? I know old cars not the new ones. what cam should I use? I drive it everyday for work so nothing to crazy. please let me know thank you

its easy to do all you need is a 6.0 long block and everything will crossover from the 4.8. i did the swap back in nov. 2009 as far as a cam everyone has a different opinion on whats good for daily driving. you will also need a tune.

I wouldnt use the same heads as the 4.8 as the intake and exhaust valves are smaller. However you can find a junkyard 6.0 for relatively cheap and swap it right over
