Default New setup

I got the motor in and started. I had to go rev the **** out of it, to get the lifters to pump up. No oil leaks yet. However the pistons are loud as hell. I called Mike Smith machine (they have built some stock and big LS1s) and they said that is completely normal.

LS1 block
Stock crank
Wiesco pistons
Eagle rods
Comp 212/218lsa114
Comp pushrods
1.75 Comp rocker arms
ARP main and head studs
Ported stock heads w/ larger valves
Rollermaster timing chain
Ported oil pump

The compression ratio is 9.8:1. I wanted alittle higher but at the time I ordered the pistons I was building a blower motor. I had to cut the heads to get that much. I will try to get the break in miles over with and let ya'll know how it runs. Anyway there it is.

hehe I know EXACTLY what you mean about those lifters. It scared me and my buddy that helped me for a while. We tore it back down for no reason. But tonight the engine is running very smoothly. The lifters did just need to pump up the oil (we thought some valves were hanging open and the piston was tapping them)

I hope I will be there Saturday. I am not sure that it will be tuned yet, I have been busy at work. I also had to replace both trans cooler lines, one thirty minutes after the other.
I have the bottle on but, I don't want to squeeze it untuned.
