Default Headers w/stock cats & muff?

Looking into some TOG headers. Does it matter if I leave the rest of the exhaust stock?

I see some headers come with hi-flow cats too,for a higher price. Are the gains worth the extra money.

I wouldn't think they would be.

The TOG's will require some cutting and welding on the Y-pipe but fit nicely.

Be sure to get them coated! If not when you buy them, by someone after you get them. I forgot to mention that.

Good choice on the headers BTW. I like mine a lot.

Flyer, the way you had your 02 set up is what I would LOVE to do, except for the dual/dumped exhaust.

I have a nelson tune on the way and I thought that some headers would do well for my next mod

And I will definately(?) get them coated.

They will really wake that thing up. I could tell a big different when I put them on my new truck. I couldn't tell much of a difference on the Z71 though, but I did a lot at the same time with them.

I have the AZ and they are not worth the money. If I could do it again I would try the TOG or the Bassany. Dont spend your money on the cats the factory are already high flows.

Thanks for the info, I think I'll look at the TOGS a little more closely. It'll probably be a month or so before I do anything.

I've looked at pictures of the ASM's, and judging by the pictures, they don't look like near the quality the TOG's are. They aren't that much longer either.

I have read that you cut half inch infront of the cat for the TOG. I had to cut a quater inch infront of the cats for the AZ.
