Default new SC question

OK, I am about to get a new SC an I was wondering what I need to do with my pulleys? Do I need to keep my ASP(crank,ALT) pulleys on or put the stock pulleys back on? I was told by one person to put the stock pulleys back on cause that will give the SC more boost/power, an I was told by another person to leave the ASP pulleys on an that will give it more boost/power. Someone help me with all this, I am still a newbe. BTW, I have a 04 scsb 5.3, if that helps. An I am not sure what SC I am going to run yet, does the diffrent brands matter?

the crank pulley is the only one that matters. it determines the rotational speed or the belt which turns the s.c pulley. all the kits are going to be based on the stock pulley, so with a smaller crank pulley you will get less boost. this can be compensated for by running a smaller sc pulley, but they only come so small. i would recommend getting a kit that reprograms your pcm to function along with the sc rather than a piggyback computer system. that leaves whipple out, don't believe the hype, to many guys including me have spent countless hours and alot of money to get them to work. do a search on this site i'm sure you'll find alot of opinions. e

A bigger pulley down there will give you more boost. Put the stock one back on.
