Default new radix intercooler needed

have any of the radix guys put a bigger i/c on yet like the afco unit they make for the lightning ,maybe a small radiator with electric fans? i am afraid of putting a real big intercooler on in front of the radiator and blocking off some of its airflow and making the engine run hot.i think i am going to fab up a remote tank that can hold about 4 or 5 gallons of extra coolant to help stabilize the tempeture of the water that runs threw the radix i/c and heat exchanger.what dou you guys think?

If you had a modified lower bumper or a custom one, you could install a larger unit down low and without the need for any fans. Something long and not too high in size.

If you are talking about upgrading your heat exchanger (the intercooler is the part buried in the intake manifold, just underneath the blower), then yes, several folks have done so.

Here is what I did on my SS, which has the advantage of a lower grill opening that is just crying out for something to be added

Electric fans keep the air flowing while at the stop sign. Plastic ducting keeps the air flowing through the heat exchanger while driving.
