Default New guy with some Q's

Hello all,

I am a Gm enthusiast. I own a 2002 Trans-Am and a 2001 Silverado z71 5.3L. Until recently I have only been modding my Trans am but I have some interest in modding my truck now as well.
Well to start off I would like to rid my truck of all the emmisions crap such as cats, rear o2 sensors and the AIR system. I have already bypassed my throttle body and got my self a K&N filter. Anyhow next I want to get rid of that pesky air system. I am looking for a little advise perhaps from someone who has already done this on thier truck. My biggest question is what did you use to fill the hole in the intake manifold once you remove that pipe whatever it is that seems to go to a diverter valve.
Another question is are there available 02 sims for these trucks?

many questions to follow, lets just start with these.
thanks
