how is an LT1 not reliable? Are the heads you took off Aluminum?

They are reliable-ish they just have problems with leacky water pumps and the shitty opti spark...and it doesnt help that the water pump sits over the opti spark. They are good motors I just feel the Ls series is a step up..a very good step up lol. The best example I can come up with is my friend has a lt1 T/A its a procharged 383 stroker with a bunch of mods, he can barely drive it without it over heating. Another mutal friend of ours owns a c5 408 stroker and its procharged he runs bikes. wins. comes back to the parking lot and does victory donuts and drives home at the end of the night.

Not saying lt1 are horrible I don't want to start a debate! They are good engines lol
