Default New exhaust Pics and Clips

I just finished up my new exhaust... I used AEM headers modified a little bit, Vbands and all 3" piping... I also installed a DMH Cutout. Once I get retuned I am going to take off the headers and possibly the Y-pipe smooth down all the welds and have them recoated inside and out.... Anyways here are the pics...

15* Merge Pipe mocked up

Merge pipe welded up inside and out

Doubled up 3-bolt flange

Vbands installed

I cut off the 3bolt flange that came on the headers and welded on a 2.5->3.0 transition pipe

Finished Y-pipe

The cutout is right after the Y-pipe, I forgot to take a pic of it...

Clips (sorry for the crappy clips), truck is running pretty rich and is idling at ~625, with some tuning I should be able to get it back to stock rpm
cutout closed

cutout open (sorry I left the radio on in the garage)

That is a really nice exhaust. I love to see the do it yourself projects, in the garage no less. It came out great. Sounds pretty mean.

Thanks guys, actually it got louder with the new headers verses the old hooker LTs.... I am not sure if it is still girl-friend approved... I allready have 2 mufflers in series and dumped after the axle....

Here is the mufflers I reused...

BTW the doubled up 3-bolt flanges worked great! No leakes at all I also used soft aluminum gaskets....

Them aluminum gaskets are great! I used them for the headers and collectors in my old motor in the 78' and I never had a leak!

Yep I used them on my mustang ages ago and never had problems, previous exhaust I had problems with them leaking, this time I tried a different brand and a light coat of RTV...
