How were the gains from the magnaflow catback? they say 13hp on a 5.3......is that reasonable to you magnaflow guys???

i could feel it and i like the tone now that its breaking in...

 

id have to say that feels about right... i doesnt feel like i lost any low end and it definetely pulls a lot harder up top.. example the way i go to work i have to get on the interstate and the on ramp is up hill... before the exhaust if i kept the peddle in the same spot it would kick into overdrive at 50mph.. now it doesnt kick in until about 65mph

 

My vote goes to Magnaflow. I have a single sided cat-back and it is not too loud at all while cruising down the road. However, when you mash to go pedal, it sounds like all business! I have also heard a 5.3 with the Corsa, and I must say, it really sounded awesome as well. The tips really looked great too. The only thing with Corsa is they are expensive. Also, I have heard from everyone that unless you are going true dual, a single sided exhaust will always make more power than two tail pipes coming out of one muffler. That is why I went with the Magnaflow. And the fact that it was under $350 for the system with a polished stainless muffler and lifetime guarantee helped sway me too!

 

wheres the cheapest place to pick up a magnaflow catback single rear exit? Tbyrne is the lowest ive seen, anywhere else to find em at?

i like the looks and the performance of my Borla, but i've seen better exhaust out there. my next truck's exhaust probably would be B&B triflo. i like the looks and sound. not sure how it performs, but it is hard to tell with any muffler. all i know is that you lose some low end torque and back pressure. the borla sounds good for a conservative person. can't hardly notice it. sounds good though. doesn't sound too aggressive, which is what i want. wish i had more experience with other mufflers. i would have to make a tough decision b/w magnaflow or B&B triflow

 

I bought my Magnaflow locally thru a wholesale house here in Maryland for like $325. They aren't a sponsor so I won't list their name here. I don't know if they ship either. You can pm me for the name and number of the place, but if TBRYNE delivers them for $400 or so, that is a great deal unless you live here in MD. and could pick it up. Shipping must be high as it came in one big *** box.

 

The Magna Flows are great but for the money I have started to ues the V Force mufflers they have a great sound.

 

I have true duals with an x pipe and 2 magnaflow 4inch round 14inch long mufflers,I love the way they sound.Fairly quiet at idle but at WOT its agressive and mean as hell sounding.I love them.If corsa or B&B triflo made a system for the OBS,then I would definatley get them but they dont.
