Thats what I ran prior to my cam swap (although I had a lot more planned) and they worked great.
yeah I didn't go real big with the cam cause I wanted to keep some low end since it's still a lifted truck running 35x12.50R20's. worked out perfect with the trailblazer I6 stall (around 2600rpms) and 4.56 gearing. I daily drive it and it's got tons of torque and pulls hard to 6K but I can tell that the exhaust is choking down the motor alot in the higher rpm's.

I have pretty much decided on pacesetters (1-3/4 primaries with 3" collector) with dual 3", x-pipe, and either a DI/DO magnaflow or 2 SI/SO magnaflows. Now I just gotta get the cash together to do it!

So i'm finally going to buy the headers this monday. I am still not 100% sure on the pacesetter 1-3/4 or the 1-7/8 primaries. I will be doing dual 3" exhaust with an xpipe. Are you guys sure the 1-7/8 primaries won't be overkill for my build? I don't want to give up a bunch of low end for a little top end by going overkill on the primary size!

Interested to see what you go with, I currently have AR 1.75" long tubes with 3" collectors mated to the stock 2.75" piping/muffler on my 06 Sierra Denali. I really want to ditch the muffler for something more free flowing and better sound but am worried about the dreaded 6.0l drone.

I wonder if its better to go x-pipe then two 3" si/so mufflers, or leave the stock dual pipes in place and install a 3" di/do xflow muffler. The later would be easier/cheaper but it'd be nice to hear some feedback.

In a built 6.0, you can go with a flowmaster dual 3 into 3.5 y merge and magnaflow 22 muffler, dumped or to the back depending on loudness you desire...no drone.

You can also go x pipe and dual 3 jones max flows (magnaflow replicas, excellent buy)...better defined sound.

I have a used flowmaster dual 3 into 4 y merge, brand new hooker max flow 4 inch muffler, and 3.5 over the axle pipe for 150 shipped.

I am running 1 3/4 primaries on my lq9..they are pretty snug in the engine bay..the lts made a very noticable differnece over stock even more so with a tune..im running a di/do muffler mated to the factory 2.75 dual pipes..my intentions are to swap to a 3" catless y pipe into a 3" single exhaust to help pick some more power and low end

that’s just about the same setup as i have now except i got 18s. what kind of numbers were you putting out and did you lose low end torque with [what] cam?
