Default new exhaust

Right now I have true dual exhaust 2.5 inch with a x pipe and turn downs and no cats. I want to go with a 2.5 to 3inch out y pipe making it come out to a single pipe. Will this be better than what I have r should I stay with what I have or do something else.

My RCSB came with 2.5 duals, frukkin flowcraper muffler and everything cut off within a week for a 3" single out. Feels better on the low and high end with the single 3
