Default new engine/wich cam

i'm putting in a new long block in my 99 tahoe with a l31. i need a cam that will allow me run the stock ecm programming until i can get it flashed. it is my daily driver, but i want a little more low end. i think at the same time i'm going to do the spider injector and v-max intake.

VMax intake is worth it. When you get a cam you will need +.50 locks and retainers with stiffer valvesprings such as Comp Cam 918s and also harder pushrods.
You have a heavy vehicle and note that rev limiter is at 5800rpm un;ess you change to a newer van PCM.

Well I have the cam in my sig for my 383, and I still believe it is a little large for that.

I would suggest going with something like a 206/212 112LSA from Comp Cams. I believe the # was 500-08 or something like that, it has been a while.
