Default New engine and cam finally in

Here a quick video of the first start up. It's a 5.3 out of a 2005 Tahoe with 34,000 miles. Sdpc ht-1 cam(214/218 559/562 111lsa) tsp lt's tsp ory. Nelson tune.

Ht-1 cam 5.3 - YouTube

Reason for the engine swap. My old 5.3 had 263,000 miles and I wanted to put a cam in my truck.

I did a lot of reading before I decided on this one. There are hardly any videos out there of this cam so I'm trying to help. I wanted something noticeable, valve train friendly because I drive it everyday and I didn't want to lose much low end. And I gotta say this cam has it all. I still have the stock 263,000 mile 4l60e in there with a stock stall and it drives fine around town I can't notice any lacking in the low end (I have 373 gears) and it pulls hard mid range and up top. I haven't hammered on it to hard due to the transmission being old and stock. Can't wait to get a built trani and 3200 stall and see what this baby has got.

think twice. Tr220 in 5.3 is proven and has run mid 12s n/a. Check out blue cajun on here. Just a thought.
