Default New cam time. Opinions needed

The time has come for me to swap cams again. Ive just gotten bored with my TR224. Ive been looking at the new Texas Speed Torquer v.3 231/234 .643"/.598" 112 LSA. My friend just installed that cam in his bolt on M6 98'Z28 and went from 322hp to 378hp with tuning. On the site it shows a power band from 2300-6700. Im still running the stock truck intake with 241 heads and long tubes. My converter flashes to around 3800rpms so im not too worried about the low end suffering a bit. Any other suggestions? Im looking to do this fairly soon.

Good! Good choice. I didn't like the idea of going with a larger cam because you were 'bored' of your 224. LOL

Again, good choice of going with heads instead of increasing the cam size. Sometimes, going with a larger cam like that might not start increasing power until after 4800 RPM. Your stating your converter flashes to 3800, but you could have lost a lot of TQ inbetween 3800-4800. Those heads should pick up across the board, but of course more so at higher RPM.

I'd go with the XR281HR cam for that setup. Much bigger than that isn't going to do much good until you change the intake manifold.

So you think I should just keep the 224 with the new heads and LS6 intake?
I figured now would be the right time to swap cams to something a little bigger/better since I'll already have her torn apart. Although I do realize bigger is not always better.
