I think i'm just going to bite the bullet and get EFI and edit. I'll learn to tune it myself, cuz i just cant see spending $1300+ on edit,EFI, and nelson.

i see burnet texas in your sig, you could swing by allens on your next trip there. of course since i don't know where that is it might be a huge swing. btw, i had the same theory, not as easy as you would think. edit has no manual to speak of and the tables, values, and effect of changes is far from self expanatory. some of the tables are used some are not, some tables refer to others. and the tables can change from year to year, so essentially if you want to copy files you have to have the same truck. from all the posts i've seen on the edit mailer, guys have had this program for a long time and still don't have it completly figured out. if you have more time than money, that may be the best course. but considering the hours i've spent changing stuff, begging for files, programing and logging, if i had it to do over again i would have called allen right off the bat. i'm not saying you can't do it, just letting you know what your in for. if i paid myself $10 an hour i would have paid for the tune the first month, and i would have been alot happier with my truck a long time ago.
