Default need stall help for 4x4

i posted in the drivetrain section but no replys.. figured most of you avid racers were in this part of the truck section so here goes

would you reccomend a stall for a 04 4x4 ECSB truck? I need something that can tow trailers from time to time.. wont be doing that to often though. But would like to be able to still do so if i had to.

Next, i would also want something thats fine in 4x4 mode I farm, work offroad so i need 4x4 to function good still. Nothing like putting her in 4X4 and letting her rip down a 100yard dirt strip lol.

so with that in mind, what are some good dependable converters and sizes I should look into?

I have a vig3600 in the car and ive had it for 4-5years with no issues. Does vig have a truck converter that factors in the trucks weight and usage? I want the truck to still be a truck in other words

Trailblazer converter for something cheap and better than stock. Yank TT3000 for best performance and still being able to tow.

I have the Yank TT3000 and that is supposed to be the MAX converter while retaining factory tow rating. In your case, I'd maybe go with a 2600 or 2800 if you plan on towing anything near the factory max...or if you only WANT to be able to tow that much if you needed to, and still tow some lighter stuff, get the 3000. The yank is very mild mannered as far as drivability goes. Maybe you could find someone local (or if you are ever around these parts) to "demonstrate" theirs before you buy. If you don't have a tranny cooler I'd think that would be a must. I'm not a big fan of the trailblazer converter, although some are having good results with 'em. You better hurry up, the day is almost over. I mean, you had your truck 2 days and bought 2 mods, now here we are on day 3....and I see you have mod #3 already in the works! BTW, I went from 14.98 to 14.57 with only the converter...and my '60 was actually a bit worse. Traction can be a feat sometimes with 2wd. I'd love to be able to feel a TT3000 in an AWD or 4wd set up.

i mod quick

told the truck fockers I wasnt playing with my mods here Got a binch of peeps to slap round on EFA.. hardtop is #1 on the list LMAO..

most i would tow is a small boat or jet ski off and on im sure. We have a 01hd for major towing so..

how where the shift points and etc after adding a 3000? I had a 2800TT in my car first and I couldnt even feel that after 4 days lol. I like knowing its there, but dont want it as bad as my car lol.

in other words, would I grin after slapping a 3000TT in the truck

Be careful of Hardtop...it takes a few good mods for an ECSB 4x4 to keep up with even a stock reg. cab 2wd...not that I doubt your eagerness.

A well hidden nitrous system!

Actually, I would imagine a stall, long tube headers, a good tune, cam and springs, fans, pulley, exhaust, etc. Or just a 6.0L swap with a few bolt ons. Or, you could do a 408!
