Default Need some input guys.

Had a ls1 swapped in the truck turns out a rod bearing is trashed. so probably the crank and rods also. I dont have time or the cash to build one.

I have a tsp 224/224 .561 .562 114 lsa cam
7.4 comp rods
918 springs installed in 853 heads from the ls1.
3200 circle d stall
8.1 injectors.

I cant find any 6.0s worth a crap in my area.

But plenty of 5.3s

Think my setup would work good in a 5.3? Id love to run a low 13 with some radials. Eventually add some boost and 4l80e. Its a 04 rcsb. Would 862 or 853 heads be better on a 5.3?

Id like to have 350hp at the wheels since it is a daily. Boosting it later would add plenty of power IMO.

If i had the funds or time to build the ls1 or build my stock 4.8 to a iron ls1 but just dont have the time since its my daily vehicle.

any advice and opinions are great.

A 5.3 with those mods will run low 13's.

leave the 5.3 heads on. The ls1 heads would lower the compression too much, and both heads flow the same.

Optimally, a higher stall would be more suited to that cam in a 5.3, but I understand your situation. The TR220 has proven itself to be awesome in a 5.3, at least it has been for bluecajun, and it would match your converter just about perfectly. You may be able to do a direct swap with someone, your cam for theirs...not that the TR224 won't work in the 5.3, but my opinion is that a 220 would be more suited to a DD with a 3200 converter. What gears do you have?

80E? I assume that there's more cubes planned in the future too?

that or boost, better safe than sorry also. Plus i believe i could find a 80e cheaper than a built 60e in my area and it should hold whatever i can afford to throw at it.
