Default Need some help, truck won't start

I started the truck on Sunday and let it idle for 30 minutes. It has been sitting in my garage for 2 months with the same tank of gas. I normally start it once a week. Could it be bad gas?

I went to start it this evening with my remote start, and it started for 10 seconds or so. It was running really rough and then it died. I went outside to try to start it back up and it just turns over.

I listened for the fuel pump and it seems to be working. I breifly looked at the fuses and they seem to be good. I think I will check the spark plugs this weekend to see if they are fouled up.

What else do you think I should check? This is a h/c 5.3 tuned by Wheatley. It has been running fine until now.

TIA

put a fuel pressure guage on it to leaviate the problem of fuel pump, then poor a tad of gas in the tb and see if it fires over, ( not reccomended but helps troubleshooing) if it fires the more then likely its the fuel pump if it doesnt then the injectors could be clogged just a few tips to try

I have an Autometer FP gauge in the truck but the sender crapped out a long time ago. It would be nice right about now.

I will check the fuel pressure tomorrow. I am willing to bet it is the pump or regulator. I haven't ruled out the ignition system yet, but I doubt that is the problem.

sometimes the fuel pressure can be fine and it is the fuel volume that is lacking so check that as well

I'm having trouble getting mine started and differant mechanics have told me that on my 98 Silverado it takes at least 55 to 57 lbs of pressure just to make the injectors work, mine is only showing 45 lbs on trying to start and it won't. I have a new fuel pump on the way.

At idle you will see a lower FP because of the vacuum assisted FPR. To check "WOT FP" simply remove the vacuum line from the FPR then recheck your FP.

Fuel pressure @ Idle is usually 10psi lower than it would be at WOT (Wide Open Throttle)

Thanks for the replies.

Update:

I went to the auto parts store and they did not have a FP gauge. I went to start it this afternoon and it started. It ran rough at idle for a few minutes and smoothed out. Then I gave it some gas and it choked a bit. I let it idle some more and it runs fine now.

I checked the FPR and no gas in the vacuum line. I haven't checked the grounds, but it is running. ????
