Default Need sims after removing cats?

So do you need sims after you remove the cats or would Allen be able to tune for that with my next PCM?
If I need sims who sells these babies?

They can tune it out, but you should need sims when you remove your cats. But I removed mine 2 days ago and have put around 120 miles on it and the light has not come on yet, but that doesnt mean it wont or yours wouldnt. I think the last time I bought some sims they were like 100 for 2 of em. Not sure how much they are now. You can check the classifieds on the board they usually have some.

No need at all for sims -- just tell Allen you removed the cats. He can turn the codes off permanently.

Totally
this will have to get into my list of mods as soon as I can get some stainless pipe to replace the cats.
The best thing about this mod for me is I don't have to go through emissions testing in my town!!!! and more power!!!!!!

If I get rid of my cats before I get a new PCM for it will the truck run like crap with the O2 sensors getting no feedback from the cats?
I know Allen would get me the PCM and I could possibly time removing them with getting the new PCM but I may have to cut them out and weld the straight pipe in on someone else's time table.
Will the thing still run ok even with an SES code being thrown?

I beleive it should still run fine. The cats are basically just an exhaust filter and the o2 sensors are there to monitor the air flow and its density.. they will trip if like the cat is clogged or something. But if your ses light comes on with them off.. there should be no prob, should be fine. But its best to tune for them which im sure ur planning on doing. Let us know what happens to the truck if the ses light does in fact come on.

So when you gutted them you just left the O2s in and disconnected or did you remove them entirely and plug up the bung for them?
