Default Need Recommended Shorty Header Brand?

My brother wants to do shorty headers on his 2004 Silverado 1500 RCSB 4x4 truck. He doesn't need top of the line, just something decent quality?

I recommend the highest quality, made in USA, long tube headers. They are expensive but last a long time. As far as shorties go, leave the stock manifolds on. Shorties are for engine swaps where you can't fit stock manifolds or LT headers.

I see zero benefit from shorty headers.

Thanks guys, after 170k miles something let go and hes swapping engines and it was a while in there thing. I think hes swung off that hearing your words and towards converting from belt fan to 05 electric fans.

e-fans would be a better benefit than shorties even though the gains seen from e-fans is not much. Does he have a custom tune? I would spend $500 on that before e-fans or shorty headers.
