Default Need opnions on intake change.

i currently have a true flow intake with a poweraid throttle body spacer. This intake is not very loud under acceleration because it uses the stock air box. I was thinking about taking out the air box and fabricating an open filter to the end of the true flow tubing. Do yall think this will make my intake a lot louder? Also, any suggestions on a round filter that is good and cheap? What about getting the filter to attach to the end of the Maf sensor? Any opnions on doing this small project without dumping a lot of money? ( This may be temporary unless i love the difference: basically i am playing to find what i like best.) Thanks- Allan

You want your intake to be louder?
I think most of us try to find a better flowing and cooler intake, not necessarilly louder. I think a few guys here have modified their stock air boxes, have you tried a search?
Sorry cant help you more.

shouldn't an open filter flow better than a stock air box with a true flow filter.
