Need more bottom end

Alright, my truck has no guts down low, it absolutely sucks!
I have the 4.8 in a RCSB and I have:
-Cold air kit
-stock intake tube w/ silencer out
-descreened MAF
-TB spacer
-TB bypass
-Shorty headers
-Gibson SuperTruck catback
-Predator programmer
I just ran a 97-98 5.7 Vortech truck last night. From a dead he pulled a trucklength on me and kept it until 90. AT 90 I drove jam out of sight.
Also, my Predator didn't raise the rev limiter while its in Park or Neutral. Is this normal? It also wouldn't set the rev limiter above 6000 in all gears. I also think I still have TM still, which sucks!
Should I put 3.73's in it? (3.42 G80 now)
Underdrive pulleys?
Direct Hits Ignition?
Thanks,

longtube headers and full exhaust would help a bunch on the bottom end, don't waste money on the direct hits ignition...if you want really good bottom end spray outta the hole.

you could spend $1500 in bolt-ons trying to make it run near as good as a 5.3 or you could have paid $800 for the 5.3 option at the time you bought it, and not suffer the market value hit because of having the smaller motor at the time of resale.Or you take the $1500 you were going to spend on bolt-on and drop in a stock 6.0 take-out motor and really have something.

You wil have to send your programmer in to get them past 6000. They can also send you a program so you can do it off your computer. Go ahead and get the 4.10's . Everyone has said it is not worth it to go from 3.42 to 3.73. They also say the 4.10 isnt really that bad with a OD trans. Also think about going with a stall. A 3000 will make you killer out of the hole and you can still keep your streetability.

i have noticed there are only a couple of real impresive 4.8s.Of course they are sb rc 2x4s.With enough weight loss there isnt as big as difference with the 5.3s true. :p

I have the same problem with my 'weak' 4.8 see the post "V-Tech Power Band"
Stall and Gears. I have oversized tires (almost 2 inches) brings my effective gear ratio down to 3.23 and it SUCK down low.
