Prayer always works for me....

don't beat on it too hard. Avoid full-throttle downshifts. Search for a 4L80. Keep it cool.

Actually you can get a lvl 3 FLT 4l60 for $1250 with a rebuildable 4l60 core. (according to their site)

Check craigslist also. 4l60s are a dime a dozen. They are incredibly cheap, so if you do blow one you can put another stock one in for like $300. It's a cheap fix unti you can save up for an 80.

I picked up a clean set of 706 heads and now I'm thinking if my compression checks out ok I'll mill the heads a bit and run an ls6 manifold and mild cam. I'm pretty sure with shorter tires, and mild heads cam setup I should be seeing high 13's right?
