Default need ideas for mounting bottle

I have a reg cab w/subs behind the seats, so I pretty much have to put it in the bed. Its a 10# NX bottle. Besides the obvious 'drill 4 holes and its done' route........heres what I've come up with....

Get a 24x8x11 tool box/storage box, mount the bottle inside the box, and put a sheet of metal under the bedrug with 3M tape holding it down to the bed floor, weld some studs to it that would go through the Bedrug and into the box which would hold it in place, require no drilling and also hide the bottle fairly well.

Any one else have any creative ideas ? I may end up just dilling the holes so I can conserve space and put it right in the corner but I'd like to get away with 0 holes.

I mounted my 10# bottle under the bed. Its at the very right most corner of the bed, under the step. I wanted to hide everything. When I need to open the bottle I just bend a knee, grab the valve and turn. I welded a small plate to the step support and mounted the bottle to the plate. Othere then the plate I did not modify the truck in any way and have no holes in the bed

Why wouldnt it be safe under the bed? The air-bag guys have been doining it for years and so is your Plastic gas tank! We never hear horror stories about those

Hmmm.......I have a fleetside and a remote opener......I might look into this.

Although.......the gas tank isn't at 900 psi and I dont know about airbag tanks psi.......doesnt seem extremely safe but might not be unsafe either....

Mounting the bottle under the truck may make it get hot and blow the burst valve, and thats not that fun.

Right behind the driver's seat. It will not work behind the passenger seat, the bottle sits to high. Works great, no need for a bottle opener. Just look behind your seat and see the bottle pressure.

i dont know why it would be un safe. the only thing i can think is in a wreck. i am saying like as high as you can get it up under there were it overhangs. in that space what do you think is going to make it get hot??

I intend on mounting mine on a small piece of plywood, which will be attached to a 2x8 cut to fit in the slots in my bed. That way, the only hole I will need to drill will be for the line to exit the bed. I really don't want to drill all those holes in my bed for the bottle brackets.
