I think you should consider sticky tires before the 3000 stall. If you can't hook with the stock converter, then the 3000 stall will only make things worse.

Thats what I was thinking. I think I might do both at the same time. Anyone know where to get some cheap slicks at. It would just be for the track. I am going to use my street tires besides that.

I've never put slicks on my truck. If I ever do, it will probably choose 26x9.5-16 Mickey Thompson Sportsman pro's on some cheap factory take-off rims.
