Default Need help spending $$$$$

I have a buddy who has an 01 1500 with a 5" suspension lift with 33" and a cat back with super 40s. He wants performance upgrades and has about $1300, so I figured what better place to ask than here. He's thinking TB spacer, headers, CAI, superchip, 160 stat, and change the super 40s to the regular 40 series.

Any other suggestions/changes to the list. Thanks in advance.

skip the tb spacer(no gain), 160 statslight power gains and mileage decrease( so ive read), and regular 40s muffler change, and superchip( basically shift points adjustment, revlimiter removal , and top speed limiter removal)

do long-tube headers(40hp), cai(maybe10hp), mail-order tune (see nelson performance to the right column)(40hp) , might change the muffler to a straight through design like magnaflow, electric fans, and underdrive pulleys

IMO

Nope that takes care of all the little boltons, but he is exactly right about everything. We have found out that you don't waste your money if you do these upgrades.

Thanks for the advice guys. He got a Granatelli cold air, a Jet Powr-Flo TB spacer, 2 flowmaster 40 series (gonna have an exhaust shop do that), and a Superchips tuner

Where could he get a Y pipe to go from the cats to the mufflers??
