NEED HELP QUICK! Stuck in the middle of motor/tranny pull!!
#1
Last night I started in on my motor pull, most people around here said it would be easier to pull the motor and tranny at the same time. So we disconnected everything (or thought we did) and put a little tension on the motor from the motor hoist and it picked up the whole truck a little. So, are there any hidden bolts or something that I'm missing or can you just not pull the motor and tranny at the same time?

Are you sure it's actually lifting the truck, or is the truck just rising a little due to the weight being taken off the suspension? Mine probably sat a full 2-3" higher in the front with no engine or tranny in it.
Make sure you got the motor mount bolts out and unbolted the trans from the crossmember and removed the crossmember. Other than that, it's all wiring and small stuff. You'll have to remove the intake as well, I assume you already did that.
BTW, you'll have to get a pretty steep angle on the motor to pull everything at the same time. I had to pull the front end apart and push the a/c condenser to the side to get everything to clear. You might not have to go this drastic, cause I had the transfer case on there as well and that made things a little trickier, but it might come down to that.
