Default need help picking headers

So I am currently in the market for some long tube headers for the truck (2013 silverado 5.3 4x4). I know there are a ton of companies out there and just cant decide which to get. I am looking to get stainless steel preferably 1 7/8" WITH cats. I just dont know what company to order from, I have heard good things about KOOKS, DYNATECH, ARH but those price tags are painful. However I have also heard very good things about the Texas Speed headers (which cost considerably less) but they dont offer a catted Y-pipe.

So a couple questions, what company would anyone recommend, any experience or thoughts is greatly appreciated. I am not necessarily looking for a cheap set of headers but some of the smaller companies seem to work for some people, I want something that will last a long time and be reliable.
Does anyone happen to know if another catted y-pipe will bolt up to the Texas Speed headers?

Thanks, Brian

Stick with 1 3/4" primaries unless you plan boost or nitrous.

1 7/8" lose nothing perceptable over stock manifolds down low.

The price tag on American made headers is painful to swallow, but for me it was all worth it. Good quality cats, nice ball and socket joints, thick gauge SS, etc. Chinese headers don't compare but are also less than 1/2 the price.

I am still undecided if I want to boost or run a big cam in the future which is why I was going to get the 1 7/8" now. would rather be safe then sorry.

Yea they are a pill... but if you're after big power its worth it the first time around.

Not that the budget headers will be no good... plenty of guys making big power with them.

Been running the 6.2 sized OBX for 2 years and they have worked well and sound nice. They bolt right up to the stock 6.2 catback. Check the link in my sig for a sound clip. Oh, I have shot nitrous through them. No complaints.

On a N/A 5.3L they will unless its is a outrageous high reving build, where the low end loss will not matter.

well I may have changed my plans and might be willing to go with the 1 3/4" primaries if anyone knows a good catted system at a good price

http://www.obxracingsports.com/products.php?pk=1613.

You can check EBay for pricing.

Edit: At the time I bought mine two years ago, I offered them $700 shipped and they bit... You will probably o2 cable extentions though, because my back ones threw codes and I think they were too close to the cats. Instead of buying extentions and moving them to the back bungs, I just programmed them out. http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBX-Catted-H...29d775&vxp=mtr
