Default Need help with the new header install and tune!!

My LT's are on the way for my L9H Silverado. I went catless on everything including Y-pipe. What do I do about the sensors ahead of the cats? Will they read? Can I run it about 30 miles home without the sensors, or will I need a tune before starting it?

Any help on the subject will be greatly appreciated!!

The o2 sensor in front of the cats needs to be installed, or your engine will not run. They read the air ratios to tell the computer if your are running proper fuel mixtures. The sensors after the cats do not matter, and will only cause a check engine light to be set, saying catalyst failure, until you get them tuned out.

All 4 of your O2's will reach the bungs in your new headers & Y-pipe. Just remove from the old, and bolt in the new. Then you can drive to your tuner and have the rear sensors turned off for your cat delete, so your CEL won't come on. Plus retune for the headers.

Sounds easy enough...I was told on the L9H the sensors will not get hot enough to read properly...anyone heard of this?
