hi guys


I am thinking of building a 6.0 sierra with manual transmission, the first thing i want is to find a 04 - 06 sierra, step-side, Reg. cab, 2wd with a manual transmission, but i couldn't find one with a V8 engine and manual transmission, they are all with auto.

I found a lot of V6 with a stick, so i thought i would buy a V6 and do the swap, but I am not sure do i need to change the transmission or the differential or anything else ?? would it be more diffecult to do the swap from a 4.3 - 6.0

and if the transmission or the differential is the same, which yr should i go with and do i need to buy an engine that is from a truck with the same year as mine ( the one i will get ) ??

they dont make the 5.3/5speed combo but they do offer the 4.8/5speed. maybe youve been looking at the wrong trucks.

I know few who have the 5.3/5speed, they were customized ones.

what i am looking for is the 4.8/5speed, but couldn't find one with the stepside style.
