OK, I have seen a few pics. of a inline filter for the EGR valve but it was on a 02 silverado I belive. But I have a 04 silverado an I was going to instal one on my truck but I cant seem to find the right hose or whaterver it is. Does the 04 silverados still have that same problem wit the EGR valve or not? If so some one post a link or pics. that could help me.

 

I don't think that the 04's have an EGR valve. I didn't know that there was a problem with them that required a filter either...is it possible that you are referring to a PCV catch can, or are there EGR issues that I was not aware of.

 

Yea, sorry about that. I meant the PCV valve. I noticed some guys installing a catch can on there truck. But I was going to instal one on my 04 silverado an I cant seem to find the PCV line. Does the new truck still need the catch can? Or did GM fix that problem for the new trucks?

 

i think every little bit helps. i put in the pcv valve with the orfice and it still gets some oil in it. look at the rear of the driver side valve cover. tht is where it is.
