Default How Does Your Coolant Look?

Do you have the OE DeathCool? Is it clumpy or have rust like flakes in it?
We had a 96 blazer radiator clog, water pump sieze, and thermo housing crack all at once due to the poor coolant.

If if not the fan clutch, take the radiator to a shop and have them flush it. After 160,000 miles on my old truck they said it was 50% stopped up. Just from normal wear and tear. Any kind of leaks will also cause it to not hold pressure and it will heat up more.

You can clean the radiator pretty easy. Just pull it out and take both of the tanks off the sides by gently prying the tabs back where the tank clamps the radiator. When you get these tanks off you will be able to see down all the rows. Run a long skinny rod (can be found at a hardware store) and just run it in and out then blow out with air and rinse. Re clamp the tanks perferably W/new gaskets. This whole project takes about 30 min after radiator has been removed. I am going to say about 99.9% sure you Radiator is clogged up. it is bearly working thats why it doesnt work when the condensor gets warm from the A/C being on.

Or you could go pay 60-70 bucks and have a shop clean it out!!
