I was thinking the same thing, think it would sound close with the hearder single in/out?

A single may actually be a little more throaty depending on what size muffler you go with. The xpipe seems to mellow it out a bit. I am wanting to change mine back to a single 3" with a nice mandral bent y, cutout, and the big case magnaflow to see how that does. Mine got a little louder that what I want for everyday when I axed the cats. Plus my crossover from the headers to the x is currentley a hack job.
