I don't remember for sure, but I think my best time was a 15.16 before the converter install. After that the best I could get was a 15.35 which was extremly traction limited, once I got it to hook I ran a 14.35. I did loose a little off the top end, but the hole shiot is so much better now.

If it were for a heavier truck, I would stick with a TT2600, but the lighter truck likes the TT3000. The road manners were kinda bruttle at first, but now that it has seen some miles and time, I think I like it a lot better than I did at first, which I wasn't too impressed at first cause it felt sloppy. Now, that I'm used to it, and it's broken in I guess, it feels much more controlled and predictable. They don't say, but you should give it 150-200 miles to break in before beating on it to hard. In my case it was just the break-in time to get the slop out. I starting hitting it hard right after I installed it, then I read about the break in period.

Yeah I hammered on mine right out of the shop as well, and it seems to be fine. I was actually suprized at how 'stock' it felt right out of the shop. After it broke in it seemed to work like it should. At part throttle up hills and such it is a little funky sometimes, kind of trying to decide wether to lock up, or unlock or downshift and whatnot.

I have a 5500lb Avalanche....would a TT2600 behave better that a TT3000?

the yank3000 has very good street manners. you won't be disappointed. there are times you don't even know it is there, until you stomp on it
