Default Need to the change the brakes

I think after 105,000 miles and about 500 burnouts at the track, they are finally wore out. Starting to make a rubing noise which is very irritating. I think i'll just change the back ones but I was wondering what kind to get. Any suggestions?

I would think the front ones would be worn out more since they do most of the work? If those were stock pads you've used for 105,000 miles I would just stick with those, they seem to work fine for you.

Hell, I've got 157,500 on my stock pads and still going w/ alot left. And I was just thinking about starting a thread about this to see how much everyone was getting off their brakes...Zed

I thought i needed to change them because they were making noise, but when I took them apart they looked almost just like the new ones I bought. I changed them anyway thinking the noise would stop, but it didn't.

I had some rubbing noise coming from mine. It turned out that the calipers were misaligned. At least that is what they told me. I havent had a problem since.

I have 160,000 on my brakes and they still stop pretty good. I drove my dad's 04 Silverado and it didn't seem like you had to push the brake at all to get them to stop. Mine you have to push pretty good. You think this could be from brake line flex like they talk about when trying to get you to buy stainless? Or are they just old and they have to move farther to make contact?
