Default need cam suggestions for a "working" truck, 05 K1500 ECLB lq4 swapped

my 05 silverado is pushing 270k on the stock LM7, its starting to get low oil pressure so i just purchased a 2002 LQ4 with 140k miles, while the LQ4 is out i plan on building it alittle.

currently i have longtubes running into 2.5" pipes (plan on upgrading to 3" pipes)
also have the k&N full CAI, my plan is to run a torque converter with approx 2200-2400 stall, and im looking at the VHP ultra-torque cam but im not 100% sure if it would be my best option or not.

my truck is ONLY used when the bed is full, or its towing something, otherwise im driving my car, so this is going to need to be a working truck, i dont care about high horsepower, but more low end torque.

im going to be swapping in 4:10 gears in place of the current 3.42's.

im also keeping my 4l60e stock for now, but when it goes next time, its getting a performance rebuild.

anyway knowing that my truck will be used for towing, its getting a 6.0L lq4 and has Longtubes and CAI, do you guys suggest the VHP ultra-torque cam, or something else?

do the VHP cam's come with lifters or anything?

any suggestions will be appreciated.

any questions feel free to ask.

You will need springs and I would get hardened pushrods which go for $80-$120.

LS6 Springs would work fine on a comp 212/218 low lift by the way and they are cheap springs.

If you get the vinci cam, I would get pac 1218 springs.

You can use the stock lifters if they are still in good shape, if they need replaced then get LS7 lifters.

With applications and goals similar to yours, we have had great success with the 212/218 hi-lift camshaft. I would also recommend going with some kind of .600" lift spring kit, like a PAC 1218 spring kit and a set of hardened pushrods.

We get alot of positive feedback on this camshaft. Although the small duration, it is still a performer.

The 212/218 is a good off the self all around cam.

It works well because the torque curve of this camshaft comes in early to get those heavier trucks moving off the line.
