cam size is like picking which gal looks better on a mag LOL.. they al look good and you would settle for any LMAO

Do you tow with the truck? Is it just a cruiser type deal to work and out and about?

For stallss if you want a big cam like a 220/220 and up then you need to figure looking into the 3000-3400k stalls. For cams smaller in size like 208 - 216's then a 2600stall would work. The bigger the cam, the more stall you need to get the truck into its power band. Just putting a big cam in kills low end since most cams dont make their power untill 2500+. No stall means the truck would be dirt slow untill it hits those rpms. The bigger the stall, the sooner you hit peak power

you dont want a huge stall in a truck do to its wait.. I have a 3000 and in my 4x4 its all I want. Mine wont lock up untill I hit about 41mph dirving which can tick you off when the speed limits 35 lol

as for cams...

112LSA for choppy idle
114 for a little sound but easier to tune

206-216 cams for some power and better than stock and a good all around setup cam

220+ plus for those that want big stuff and the best of everything

I have a 220/220 114 in my DD which idles and does fine. Its as big as I want in my 5.3 4x4 though. I had a 210/218 114 which was a great tq cam!

If you don't have headers, I have a 218/228 that would work well with your stock exhaust manifolds. Pulls really hard, has good torque, and lopes really nice. It's in the sale section ($250 shipped)...

i tow a ket ski with mine and its a pain trying to baby a jet ski up the ramp. Its either all go or no none.. traction is a PITA with a stall on a slick surface

emmissions depends on the tune, but I personally would go with a 210/218 114 cam..

im waiting for someone to say get a 224/224 cam since everyone seems to think they are gold.. they are 2wd's with stalls

I have a 210/210 - 555/555 112 LSA in my 6.0 liter is its a nice cam. I do wish I would have gone with something a little bigger.

I dont have a converter nor do I want one so thats the main reason I went with this cam.

depends what kind of driving you do. Personally, 90% of the miles on my truck are driving at speeds over 80mph. I have 3.42's and my driving habits are the only thing keeping me from 4.10's. If you do alot of city driving, I would hands down get 4.10's. If you do alot of highway driving I would run 3.90's. IMO if you're gonna spend $500 to do a gear swap, then swapping from 3.42's to 3.73's isn't worth it.
