Also check that the fuel pressure regulator isn't leaking. Do you have scanning software so you can check fuel trims and O2 sensor readings?

Where is this located and where can i get it checked out? I have no scanning software to do so.

You can check the fp regulator yourself very easily, it's located in the center of the driver's side fuel rail, and it's round with a vacuum line going to it. Pull the vacuum line off and check for the presence of fuel, if fuel drips out or there's a strong gas odor, then the reg is leaking and needs replacement...between $60-$80 at the dealer.

I kinda ran my thoughts together as far as the scanning/logging goes, sorry about that. If you find the fp reg to be the problem and the fuel economy gets better, then you can save some cash. But if it turns into a big headache, then you either have to go to the dealer or a reputable shop with scanning software to check the data list. Unless you know somebody who has software or a TechII, SnapOn Modis, etc.

I have shorty's, I know they aren't as good as long tubes but where would I get an ORY for shorty's?

Thanks for the offer but this is my dads truck ill probably be looking into replacing the cats. Does anybody know where i can get some cheap cats around houston?
