Default mysterious coolant leak.....can't find where...

hey guys,

i begin to loose coolant. sometimes rapidly and other times its' no leak at all. it's coming near between coolant overflow tank and rad. funny thing is it does not leak everyday. i mean it's leaking little by little very randomly and i can't find where it's leaking from. i have shop and lift so i put it up on lift and check thru basically everything no leak now, but i saw sign of leak from yesterday, because i have parked in other side just to see if i'm leaking coolan't or now.
any ideas what it might be?
thanks in advance

Yes, I do. Go to my thread Efans Which 1 & why?
Go to, IIRC, pg. 8. Those pics tell what. $12 to fix that leak. That's for the pair.

I've also heard of bottom of coolant overflow tank low sensor. It's underneath & dealer told me it (that sensor) is a non-serviceable part. Don't know if he was lying or not, but that is ~$70 for a new tank w/ sensor.
How many miles?

Right after I did mine, my bro said a friend had a Avy w/. 55k, doin same thing.

So, I'll guess W/P gaskets 1st, sensor if it's not gaskets.

I've either seen or heard of the water pump gaskets failing quite often

Heads have been cracking near bolt holes under valve cover.

If that's the case, it's a bit more expensive fix then.
While I haven't heard of this, I've only recently started viewing Engine & Exhaust Perf.

How many instances have u heard of this?
