Default My Secret Plan Exposed!!!

Here is what I've been secretly planning for my LS1 build-up:

-Absolute Speed Stage 2 5.3 Heads (I'm gonna try to find some 6.0 heads, this will be the last thing done before I drop the motor in, so I've got plenty of time to change my mind)
-Bore/Hone to 3.901"
-Diamond -8.6cc Blower Pistons
-Custom FMS Blower Cam
-Old Style Side-Mount Magnacharger (7-8lbs boost)
-Methanol Injection
-ARP Rod Bolts
-ARP Head Studs
-ARP Main Studs
-FMS Dyno-tuning
-3.90 Gears/Eaton
-2600 Stall (Trailblazer)
-Nitto Drag Radials
-All of my current bolt-ons that I have my truck

This should be one bad motha! I probably won't get done buying all of this crap until the end of next year. But, I will be adding the Blower, gears, and converter as soon as the money rolls in. Oh yeah, I got a second part-time job to compensate for the funds!

What numbers should I see at the wheels?
What times should I expect?

The side mount is going to be the main restriction in that setup. I'd guess the sidemount would be limited to 350rwhp or so.

Why, does it not push enough air or something? Thanks.

Its the same blower used on v6 grand prix's. Seems like they make around 300 rwhp spinning the crap out of them. I don't think it'll push enough air. Plus, you'll have to spin it so hard, your IAT's will be way high.

Maybe Blownchevy will chime in on the hp limit of the M90.

yeah i agree with blown on that one. I wouldn't even consider using that side mount on this set up. Even if you don't max it completely out, it will be turning alot of rpm's.
If i were you i think a turbo would be the best bet for your set up!!!

With a setup like that I wouldnt skimp on the FI part. I couldve saved a little money if I wouldve gotten the aftercooled Vortech when I bought the kit, but I skimped. Save a little more and get what you really want. Definately get something intercooled. You are dropping in a 5.7 right??

What he is trying to get at is that it may or may not make that much boost, but with the high IAT's you wont get much of a rwhp increase. Hot air is worthless and that blower isnt very efficient meaning quite a bit more hot air than a more efficient blower and ALOT more hot air than an intercooled setup.

I doubt it. If it did make it to 6psi, it would probably be a super hot 6psi which would probably be the same mass air as a cool 4 psi.
