Default My PCV ignorance. Help please

Ok, I'm told I do not have a PCV system in my truck and I really should. I'm also told I need a catch can. Problem is, I have not a clue where to even begin looking or what exactly I need to do. Anyone have some pics of the stock PCV location etc? Thanks in advance.

passenger side valve caover on the top of it near the front of the engine and back of the driverside valve cover . they are both hooked up to a vacuum on the intake , what you need to do is either cut the line or most likely get new lines and cleany routs it to the catch can.

I ran both valve cover nipples to a t-fitting then to the catch can feeding into the intake vacuum fitting. I could stand to run two of the catch cans (one for each side), but since the inside of the blower was very clean with over a year of driving I think I'm fine.

I've got a brand new elite engineering can (in clearcoated silver) I'll trade you for some money off your convertor! I used to sell the elite cans before the manufacturer took away the profit margin

i looked a little closer the other day. There is a vacuum line coming off the back of the driver's side valve cover that goes directly to the port on the blower. I didn't see anything attatched to it. I also found the vacuum line on the pass side valve cover. It was vented the intake tube but now it is vented to free air.

I think a catch can would be a good idea. shoot me a pic of what you have.

there are 2 barbs on the blower just after the TB. they should be PCV, EVAP, and Brake booster. I have PCV and EVAP hooked up. Do I even have a brake booster?

There is also supposed to be a 4th barb on the TB which i do not have and that is where KB says to vent the pass side valve cover.

I like the idea of PCV and pass side both going to a catch can first then into the blower. yes, i like it a lot, lol

You need to attach that pass side pcv line to manifold vacuum somewhere. Mine is attached to the throttle body and I capped off the fitting KB had on the adapter plate. If one of the barbs on the j-tube is open, that could be culprit to your recent idle issues. If you have hydroboost, you may not have a booster vacuum line.

As for moding the pcv system, I am thinking of doing something similar to what Cory is running as well.

the 3rd barb has a threaded plug in it instead of a barb. I have the barb that belongs there. I think i'm gonna go put it in and hook the pass side vent to it. So with the catch can I'd have to run both lines to a T then into the catch can then out of the catch can into the J-tube right? does anyone make a catch can with 3 barbs? 2 in and 1 out
