Default My official GM 2005 E Fan post(large pics)

Here it is;
Some After market Cold Air Kit boxes may not Clear the Fan shroud, I only can verify the new style Volant and UPD will clear.
Just some info and part #'s for you guys. Perform at your own risk.

If using ASP CRANK PULLEY-gates K060900
6.0L RADIATOR P#DRRA20060 from the barn
If you order from the barn No Ac means no engine oil cooler(driver side)
A/C means you get the oil cooler.
Also it didn't come with a peacock drain. No biggie.
Don't forget to trim the Rubber flaps on either side of the radiator.

The (#14) screws worked fine and dug into the plastic nice and tight.

www.nelsonperformance.com
pcm trigger= both fans low
a/c trigger= one fan on high.
pcm trigger with a/c= both high
ROCKER SWICTH, (optional) I have it hooked into the pcm lead to manually activate as well.

More pics on my cardomain.
Total cost almost $820 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Holy Chit
Thats a nice cam/springs and retainers with gaskets.

It all came out nice though and there's more benifits I think with upgrading to the bigger radiator and alternator. I don't regret it.

a/c trigger both fans high?. Mine triggers one fan high, which drives me nuts by the way. The A/C cycles a lot! Thinking of tying a thermostat to the AC coil somehow so that it only comes on when coil is hot.

Nice shot of the manual switch, I was gonna put it in the same place.

Do you see a voltage drop when the fans come on high with the big alternator?

Why a larger belt?

900 is steep but looks really profesional and you will get better gas mileage. So it will pay off in the end.

You will need an alternator. I did the swap without one, and am ordering mine tomorrow. You will be ok when only one fan is on, or both fans are on low, but when the both kick on high your voltage will drop down to around 12v.
