Talking

whether the maf is near the tb or near the box isnt going to make a difference. the screen will. whether or not air likes a turn or be split it doesnt have a choice. it will work. just remember. you can put as big a intake as you want. but all that air still has to go thru a hole that is 75 to 78mm big. 3",4",5". it still has to go thru the tb which is a set size as well as the intake inlet.

Just get another MAF and run Dual MAF! That would be sick! --- J/K!
That design is interesting and I would honestly like to see the gains even if they were only small! Go to the dyno for some real proof! It does look cool though!

i like the duel maf idea i would take it to a dyno, but once i spend the money to run it on a dyno and it dosent work, i would be out of half of a new intake.

That CAI is so ghetto! Can Volant not bend/weld tubing? Only boxes?? You could easily make a better one with some exhaust parts and some HTS transitions. Going from tb to those filters...HTS 90 elbow, MAF, HTS trans, Flowmaster Y-connector, HTS trans, couple of pipes and into that box. WAY better.

It most likely is not netting you any real gains because the design is creating additional turbulence, and the airflow is being slowed down as it has a sharp angle to enter the throttle body.

Your best bet is a smooth, temperature resistant pipe with minimal bending.

its all mandrel bent so the bends arent that harsh. im thinking im going to redo the section right in front of the maf, make it a big oval that tapers down into the maf. that is unless i can find someone to pawn this off on .

someone in the houston area should trade me intakes for a week so i can get a good comparison, and have someone elses opinion of my intake on their truck in comparison to their setup. any takers bet not

they're just wheels off of the 2005 model chevy trucks. 17" and look better in my opinion. factory size tire too, they tuck nicely under a 4/5 drop. sry thats the only picture i have right now...

I still think you should do the dual MAF's and if you really want to get nasty run a dual TB setup!
