Default is my intake worth a $H!t?

after reading through the thread talking about volants intake design flaws (here https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=231994 ) i got to thinking about my intake. talkin about BIGTIME SECOND THOUGHTS!

i never saw what the older version volant looks like but saw pictures of the new one, and read that the only change was moving the maf next to the box to avoid turbulance. now that youve read that check this out.

talkin about turbulance!! 2 intake tubes coming into the maf that are seperate. that box that connect the two intakes cant be helping with turbulance, and finally the way its connected to the TB. the maf is also descreened.

im not too worried about how it connects to the TB because i plan on an elbow once i get my electric fans in this friday, but now the maf position and design have me concerned. it feels awesome in comparison to the intake that i took off, but that could just be in my head because it sounds mean as **** with the duel cones.

what would yall do?

replace the TB connector with an elbow and forget about it.
or
auction off my intake and find another one.

Interesting design. I can't say that it looks very efficient but I don't doubt that it makes mean noises.

you dont think that the maf being so far from the box would hurt anything? and then on top, that trap in front of the maf to spin the air up
