Good opportunity to build something from the ground up. There are 5.3's everywhere. 6.0....they're apparently gold on eBay. But easier to get that 500hp. How fast did this overheat happen? I imagine it had to be pegging the gauge for a while.

Yeah it took the truck a while for it to overheat, but I already have another 5.3 I'm looking at for $450. Now I just have to decided on what cam I want to put in it. I was thinking either a 224r or 228r cam.

Haven't decided, if I go with the 228r then maybe either a 3400 or 3600 stall.
