Last night was my first time to run the 1/4 mile, and I must say I was VERY disapointed. The first run was 14.78@91.7 with a 2.19 60'. My second run I stalled it up a little higher and ran a 14.70@92 with a 2.14 60'
Something I'm doing has to be wrong. I've spent a good bit of money on mods and 14.7s are unsat. Im going to spend the next 2 weeks digging into it to try and find out why my truck is suckin so bad.
If anyone has any suggestions on what they think might be wrong, PLEASE let me know. <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" />

The current mods as of last night are
HPP3 w/93 tuning
No MAF screen
Throttle body bypass
Custom ram air w/stock airbox
4.10 w/ detroit locker
.050 milled heads
02 sims, no cats
3.5in exhaust w/single 3.5in glasspack
Hayden elect. fans
minor intake and throttle body work
poweraid TB spacer
K/N filter
I guess thats about it.Shouldn't I be running faster? Is 87 oct. tuning better?

I have an autometer air fuel gauge, and when I punch the gas it pegs out on the rich side. When it was dyno tuned at Speed Craft the air fuel was 12.7 . One thing Im not sure about is if I may have messed up that tuning by changing the HPP3 settings.
Twobit, How can a 14.70 be a good time. I want to be running 13s consistant on motor. Theres alot of guys in here doing it, so I know its possible.
