i was driving around in my truck last night wich is a 2003 chevy 1500 ext. cab short box z71 with intake and cat back magnaflow exhaust,one of my friends has a 99 eclipse rs and i asked him if he wanted to race just for the hell of it,he has cat back exhaust and short ram intake,we went and raced from a roll at 15 and i took him by a about one and a half cars untill i hit 100 and governed out,my god dont you guys see something wrong with that,poor poor ricer,my friends have told me that my truck is faster than its supposed to be,i looked on the window sticker and it says it has teh high performance package with added 890$ to the final price,what is it? i dont know? help me out here?

I have never heard of A high performance package on a Silverado. That why im curious. Sounds like the "stealership got you for $900, unless they accually did some performance upgrades to your truck. You should go back to the "stealership" and ask them what that is all about.

 

The PCM has a speed limiter set at 98 mph.

Maybe this should be rephrased as "my friends have told me that my truck is faster than they think its supposed to be"

As previously stated, ask the dealership.

 

take a picture or scan that part of the window sticker. i want to see it. i never heard of it.

next step is to get a custom tune then you can beat your friend by 10 car lengths and get over 120 mph

Was the aforementioned performance package on the factory window sticker or one of those addendum window stickers that the dealer puts on for dealer installed stuff?
