Had a 18" magnaflow on the last Hoe... Tahoe that is. It was a drone city.
I`m not willing to spend $600 plus on a cat back back cause I think a muffler and a few feet of pipe with a tip is just a rip of. I can have a local shop make that at 1/4 of the price.
So what mufflers do you guys like? I`m looking for something with a little more sound that`s not a drone maker. The wife who mainly drives the Hoe likes a good sounding exhaust but nothing crazy either
thanx

borla pro-xs or a hooker aerochamber.... I have had both, no drone at all, real quiet at crusiings speeds and very noticable at WOT.... hooker is a little louder than the borla @ WOT...

Jeg's carries them but they're not a sponsor. I can't think of any sponsors off the top of my head that carry them but that doesn't mean they don't. Check with 99silver6.0; I'm pretty sure he's running a Borla xr-1 or something like that.

I havent heard what they sound like but I know a lot of people like the Spintech... my opinions on "quiet exhaust" isnt worth a whole lot though LOL... I'm getting LT's, ORY, short race bullet dumped before the axle.... I kinda like to hear it... the borla xr-1's are nice sounding... not too much at all as far as sound goes.

i have the long magnaflow on my yukon and its bairly louder than stock. At idle its just like stock, full throttle its throaty. I like it because you can flow like crazy with 3" strait through, but keep it a quiet sleeper. I think magnaflow is all i will ever have now. Mine ran me $145 for the muffler and install.
