So I've decided on doing a dumped exhaust before the axle and just doing a muffler replacement. So, I want loud, but not droney in the cab, and nothing i cant turn my music up over. Also, I want only a single chamber or straight thru muffler. My ideas were Dynomax Bullet or single-chamber Flowmaster. Anyone else have an idea?

i've got an '04 5.3L with a custom dual outlet exhaust before the right rear tire, i was going to do a dump, but i have a few friends who have flowmasters and bullets dumped, and IMO they sound very droney at high rpms. I chose a 13" magnaflow straight through, single -duals for the look, and it sounds amazing, not too loud in the cab, and the thing thing will shoot flames, can't beat that.
IMO of course. Just a thought.

thats what i'm saying, its got a very good cruisin' sound, its not loud at all when ur on the freeway. but when ur on it, its loud as ****, my exhaust turns heads non stop, especially when i cruise downtown in low gears and the when the thing is back firing. again, alot of people are dead set on flowmasters and bullets, but to me, they just sound a little to rattley at high rpms; i'm just not a fan of the sound of flowmasters/bullets.
