Muffler Inlet...2.5" or 3"?

I'm looking at buying an aerochamber muffler, SI/DO, but it only comes in a 2.5" inlet. Are there any drawbacks of going with a 2.5" inlet, instead of 3"? Any help is appreciated! This is for an '05 5.3.

if you want something louder go with a magnaflow or borla, small case...
